PLANNING PERMISSION GRANTED FOR NEW DEVELOPMENT AT RAINWORTH

Northern Trust has announced that they have been granted planning permission for a new residential development in Rainworth, Nottinghamshire. The outline plans for the land off Warsop Lane include the provision for up to 130 new homes.

The planning application was approved by Newark & Sherwood District Council, with the proposals having been the subject of extensive discussions with the local planning authority, local councillors and local community.

A spokesperson for Northern Trust commented “The outline planning permission for up to 130 houses includes a mix of house types aimed at supporting the delivery of high quality housing at an affordable level within the Rainworth area. The new scheme will generate significant investment within the Borough.”

The plans form part of the Company’s on-going initiatives in bringing forward over 6,000 homes through the planning system over the next few years.

Northern Trust will now look to commence a disposal strategy, inviting negotiations with prospective house builders, in order to ensure a viable high quality scheme is delivered as soon as possible.
