Funding News – North East England Investment Centre Funding

Business development assistance is available to SMEs, social enterprises, charities and not-for-profits operating in the North East of England.

Part funded through the European Regional Development Fund, North East England Investment Centre (NEEIC) helps new and existing small and medium-sized busineses to develop and grow by investing public funds in those seeking advice and support. NEEIC funding will help businesses in the region to develop new projects. Firms will be consulted to identify their specific needs and they will be given advice on available financial support and the most appropriate funding route to take.

NEEIC can help businesses in the North East achieve their full potential by:

  • Transforming the region’s economy so it can complete nationally and globally, making it a better place to live, work and develop a business.
  • Providing an effective and simple service for customers.
  • Investing public money into projects that will benefit the economy.

A variety of costs can be funded, for example: staff training; marketing; interior design; or the creation of a website.

There are not specified minimum or maximum levels of available funding. Projects are judged against their individual merits and funds will be awarded according to demonstrated needs and the availability of the programme’s overall budget.
