The Postman Always Delivers

We are pleased to announce that one our oldest occupiers at Brook Street Business Centre in Tipton has welcomed one of the newest occupiers on the estate, by utilising their services to improve their facilities on offer to visitors.

Darren Barton, who runs the on-site café on the 33,000 sq ft estate, has been an occupier at the site for over 11 years. He joined forces with Rich The Postman, who moved into their 352 sq ft unit last year, to install some new fencing and picnic tables at the café, enhancing the facilities on offer at the Café.

Darren commented “Being one of the longest standing tenants on site, we have a large number of customers coming from all around the local area and have provided outside seating for a number of years to be used by our customers. With the emphasis of meeting outside following the lockdown, we decided to upgrade our seating area and turned to one of the sites newest tenants to help us create our vision. We look forward to seeing all of our customers, old and new, in the near future”.

Commenting on the collaboration, Richard Barratt of Rich The Postman said “I design and manufacture unique, outdoor wooden garden products. My best sellers are my NO DIG Wooden Post and Rope Kits and my Picnic Benches made from sleepers. Darren at the Café has purchased both of these products from me to enhance the cafés outdoor seating area. My previous workshop was very small indeed which meant that I didn’t have much storage for my materials or machinery. My unit here at Brook Street suits my needs perfectly as I now have space for everything! This extra space has helped me to expand my product range, which has helped to increase my turnover.” You can search for richthepostman on Google, Facebook, Ebay and Amazon.
