INVITATION FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 26 INDUSTRIAL UNITS AT SOUTH KIRKBY BUSINESS PARK.
A PROJECT WHICH IS PART FUNDED BY EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND.
Northern Trust Company Limited invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors who would like to enter into a Design and Build Contract to construct the development described below.
Brief Description of the Project
The project comprises the construction of circa 3,171 m2 (net) of industrial floor space at South Kirkby Business Park, South Kirkby within the Wakefield District of West Yorkshire.
The site was formerly a colliery site which has since been remediated and the project will therefore bring a 3 acre brownfield site back into productive use.
The floor space will be delivered in three blocks in units ranging from circa 47 m2 to circa 307 m2. The project will provide 26 workshop units in total.
A BREEAM rating of Very Good will be required for the project.
External works will include an ecological area, external seating areas, bicycle stores, sustainable drainage system, car parking and yards.
A short list of contractors will be selected based upon their responses to information requested in a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. The Selection Criteria will comprise the following:
Personal Position of Directors (Weighting 10%)
Economic Standing (Weighting 20%)
Technical Capacity (Weighting 20%)
Quality Management (Weighting 10%)
Technical Suitability for Contract (Weighting 40%)

Please submit your expression of interest, enclosing a brief Company Profile to the email address below for your copy of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
Those short listed will be invited to provide Tender Proposals for contract award in circa September 2020. The award criteria will be provided in more detail to those shortlisted within the tender documents, but will include construction programme and cost. The award will be made on the basis of best value for money.
It is envisaged that the Contract will commence from October 2020.
