Detailed planning consent has been granted to Northern Trust and Jones Homes for the construction of a new village hall, 16 new market homes and 4 new affordable homes in Weeton.

The plans form part of a partnership scheme with the Village Hall Charity, and includes the replacement of the existing village hall, which dates back from the First World War. The new facility funded entirely by Northern Trust will allow for a wider range of services to be offered from a modern building fit for future generations.

Work is expected to start on site in the coming months, with the first properties set for completion later this year.”

Northern Trust is currently working with the Council to discharge the planning conditions for the new village hall in order to start construction in March.
